Aquarius individuals are eccentric, free-spirit, idealistic, open-minded, tactless, revolutionary and emotionally detached. With Uranus as the ruling planet, people born under this sign are progressive, inventive and unconventional. The Aquarius person tends to be hard to define in personality as it frequently changes or highly fluctuating and a bit peculiar. One day they are interesting, expressive, and full of energy while the next day they can become  dull, reserved and silent.

Aquarians are unpredictable, and as a result, they sometimes get a reputation for unreliability. They can be quite scattered and chaotic, and often reject social conventions, though these people are susceptible to modern fads. They are full of brilliant ideas and can be absent-minded and wacky, but prone to highly impractical behaviour. They are rarely anxious or frightened and they tend to be cheerful and confident most of the time.

They are highly eccentric and usually also prefer the company of other eccentric types. They also have a strong sense of fairness.

Yet, while they love people, they tend to avoid getting too deeply involved in a relationship for fear of losing their independence. They are extremely intelligent too, Aquarians take pride in their intellectual independence. Aquarians are inventors and good creators. Most have scientific minds, suited for chemistry, physics, work with computers and technical writing. They usually have an interest in outer space or anything futuristic. Some also interested in the occult and other paranormal or unexplained phenomena. While they are not at all aggressive or combative, Aquarians like to give their intellect a good workout with worthy oponent in an intellectual debate. Aquarians value inventiveness and intelligence over physical appearance and surface style. Many astrologers see Aquarius as the genius sign. The downside is that Aquarians can be impatient, obstinate and stubborn in their opinions. They are fiercely independent and this can make them seem cold, detached, and impersonal at times. They embrace their eccentric ideas so much that they can be viewed as rebellious and unpredictable. However, the combination of their creative attributes, original thoughts, kindness, and love of people makes them one of the greatest hero and  leaders.
